Let's start with my Goodreads review as usual:

WHAT!? NO SERIOUSLY WHAT DID I JUST FINISH? I ALWAYS SAY THIS BUT HOLLY JACKSON IS A GENIUS AND THAT'S ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE SAID!

Okay, looking back, this was an overreaction. The book was not insane; it had a simple but sad end - not sad enough for me to cry, but sad, nonetheless. I did love this book don't get me wrong, but the first and last books were better than this one. We follow Pip and Ravi to try to solve the case of Jamie who had gone missing. To me, the story was a bit all over the place, but it was good. I liked how Holly tries to make us think it's one person, but it's another person. But in my opinion, the ending just didn't make enough sense to me. I mean it did, but it didn't. He was a child back then just following his parent's orders, as a grown man you should understand that. Kids usually aren't allowed to disagree with their parents. He was acting like it was an option. So, for that, I rated it three stars. Not just because of the ending, but once again, the story felt all over the place. Sorry, not sorry.

Character time!

Pip is the ultimate girl boss; I mean after the first book I would have tapped out. I can't do all of that, it would have stressed the heck out of me. I'd probably be in therapy for weeks, months, years maybe. We need Pip to come out here and solve the murders in the real world because girl. She got some power in her brain. Ravi is the most adorable little boyfriend sidekick. He is the superior book boyfriend, and nobody can tell me otherwise. I don't like anyone else in this book. <3 I'm kidding, but this one didn't impact me enough to have a detailed description of every single character so...

I told y'all this would be my week of return, and I bet some of you didn't believe me. That's okay because I'm back now!

With that being said, it's time to conclude this review. This book overall was a 3/5 star for me. This book is very dark, for sure. All in all, this book was pretty good. I finished it in an okay period of time and I did enjoy it! That is the end of this week's review, and I will see you all next week! Reminder to follow all of my socials which are linked at the top and join my Fable book club. Bye, my bookish Angels, happy birthday if it's your birthday, and be safe!
